What Is the Business Reports for SMEs Scheme?
The Business Reports for SMEs scheme provides a lump sum of €4,000 to part-finance an external business report from a registered advisory provider. Administered by Fondi.eu, the scheme covers up to 80% of the eligible cost, making a professional AI consultancy engagement available to Malta SMEs for a net cost of as little as €1,000.
The scheme supports two types of report:
Process & Systems Review
Aimed at rendering operations more efficient — ideal for an AI process audit that maps current workflows and identifies where AI can reduce cost, accelerate throughput, or improve quality. This is the most common report type Neural AI delivers under this scheme.
Business Plan
Addressing proposed investment initiatives including AI — aimed at improving competitiveness. Useful for SMEs planning a larger AI investment and needing a fundable strategic roadmap as a precursor to a Digitalise Your SME or Malta Enterprise application.
The advisory provider must be registered with Fondi.eu as an Intermediate Body. Neural AI is registered as an advisory provider, meaning your business can apply for this grant to fund an AI consulting engagement directly with us.

Fondi.eu requires advisory providers to be officially registered as Intermediate Bodies before a business can claim this grant for their services. Neural AI's registration means your claim will not be rejected on provider eligibility grounds — a common issue with unregistered consultancies.
